About the Role
MEQ is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead high-value client acquisition, sales strategy development, and market expansion in the U.S. This newly created role is remote, with regular travel required to engage with industry stakeholders.
As a key sales leader, you will focus on enterprise-level sales, securing partnerships with major beef and lamb producers, processors, and industry bodies. This role is designed for an experienced sales professional who can drive growth, revenue, and market positioning—with the ambition and capability to evolve as MEQ scales.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales & Business Growth
- Develop and execute a sales strategy tailored to the U.S. market, targeting key players in the red meat industry.
- Secure high-value enterprise clients, focusing on processors, producers, and industry bodies.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Lead contract negotiations and execute commercial agreements that drive long-term success.
- Utilize CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) to track leads, monitor sales performance, and manage customer interactions.
Client & Industry Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers at key client organizations.
- Represent MEQ at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, positioning the company as a leader in the U.S. market.
- Develop relationships with key industry bodies, including:
- USDA (United States Department of Agriculture)
- NCBA (National Cattlemen’s Beef Association)
- NAMI (North American Meat Institute)
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and support junior sales team members as the company scales.
- Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to shape the overall sales vision and strategy.
- Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and industry trends to refine sales approaches.
About You
- 7+ years of sales experience, preferably in technical solutions, AgTech, or data-driven products.
- Proven ability to develop new business, manage high-value accounts, and lead contract negotiations.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills within the red meat or food production industries.
- High-level verbal and written communication, with the ability to present technical solutions to clients.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and a data-driven approach to sales.
- Passion for innovation, sustainability, and transforming the red meat industry.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the U.S. red meat industry, including USDA regulations and supply chain dynamics.
- Desirable: Experience bridging the gap between sales and product/engineering teams.
