About the Role

Reporting to the Board, the General Manager is responsible for the overall performance, strategic direction and operational effectiveness of Move With Us. Leading a small team of experts, this is a hands-on role that requires someone equally comfortable operating at a strategic level and working in the weeds, driving execution, solving problems and ensuring plans are delivered in practice, not just on paper.

This is a broad and highly accountable leadership role spanning:

• Strategy and execution
• Financial performance and reporting
• Subscription and revenue growth
• New business incubation
• Team capability and culture
• Operational excellence and governance

You will create and propose the strategic direction of MWU, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and long-term objectives. You will establish a disciplined operating cadence, embed strong performance management frameworks and drive data-led decision making across all functions.

A key focus will be improving business performance management to reach financial goals, strengthening team capability, and ensuring a high-performing and aligned culture across the organisation.

You will also:

• Own and refine business reporting across daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly rhythms
• Drive EBITDA, contribution profit and subscription health metrics
• Identify cost efficiencies without compromising customer experience
• Translate early-stage ideas into structured incubation plans and MVP launches
• Lead cross-functional collaboration from ideation to go-to-market
• Represent MWU externally and champion its brand, values and vision

This role requires a hands on leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels, steering the business in the most profitable and sustainable direction.

About You

You are an experienced General Manager or senior leader with a strong commercial lens and a background in digital, subscription or SaaS environments.

You bring:

• Proven experience leading multi-functional teams in a high-growth digital business
• Strong financial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, EBITDA and ROI
• Demonstrated capability designing and executing strategic business plans

About You
You are a strategic thinker with strong creative execution skills and deep expertise in product design and user experience.

You’ll ideally bring:

• 5+ years experience in product design or UX/UI design
• 2+ years experience within agency environments
• Strong component library experience and design system development
• Proven experience leading product discovery and user research processes
• Ability to translate business objectives into compelling user experiences
• Experience facilitating workshops and working directly with clients
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• A collaborative mindset with strong commercial awareness
• Experience within technology, digital products will be highly regarded.
• Be based in Adelaide or willing to relocate to Adelaide, South Australia.
