Job Description

The People Plugin are proud to partner with EzLicence, Australia’s largest marketplace for booking driving lessons. Launched in 2018, the platform enables learners to find, compare and book driving instructors online, and provides an end-to-end solution for over 1000 active driving instructors to manage and grow their businesses.

They are a proud South Australian success story, facilitating over 25,000 bookings per month and officially accredited as ‘A Great Place to Work’. In Australia, they are now 13 times larger than the biggest competitor and expanded to the United Kingdom in late 2023 - but we’re only getting started.

We are now seeking a seasoned Head of Operations to join the team to be a key member of the Executive and Leadership team, driving growth in Australia and the United Kingdom.

About the Role

This newly created position is accountable for ensuring operational excellence through strategic direction and management of the Australian Operations, playing a supporting role to the UK business.

As a key member of the Executive and Leadership team, we are seeking candidates preferably based in either Adelaide, Melbourne or the Gold Coast for this fully remote role. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Finance, Head of UK and Head of People and Culture to manage budgets, optimise resources and drive operational growth.

With Business Analytics and Customer Experience directly reporting into this role, the key responsibilities include:

  • Customer Experience (CX): Champion the customer voice within EzLicence to enhance decision-making with customer considerations.
  • Data and Analytics: Oversee data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making and support financial modeling.
  • Strategy and Project Management: Own the strategic initiative process and project management cycle, ensuring metrics track operational success.
  • Legal and Risk: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Registered Training Organisation (RTO): Develop strategic plans for RTO growth, ensuring compliance with the VET Quality Framework and financial performance monitoring.

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a business that is disrupting the industry and empowering driving instructors to create a more sustainable and efficient business.
