The People Plugin is proud to be partnering with The Source, a South Australian luxury bathroomware, kitchen and homewares business, to recruit a talented Selections Consultant.
Based in a modern appointment-only showroom in Stepney, The Source has built a strong reputation for exceptional client experiences, premium product knowledge and trusted relationships across South Australia’s building, design and architecture community.
With a curated range of leading local and international brands, The Source supports clients through the product selection process across bathroom, kitchen, laundry and homeware projects, helping bring beautiful spaces to life through expert advice, considered selections and high-quality service.
About the Role
Reporting into the leadership team, the Selections Consultant will be the face of The Source for clients, builders, designers and architects.
This role is responsible for running end-to-end client selections and showroom appointments, guiding clients through product options, preparing accurate quotes and supporting a seamless experience from initial consultation through to final sign-off.
This is not a purely transactional sales role. It is a relationship-led, client-facing position that requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to create a premium experience for every client and trade partner.
You will work closely with clients, builders, designers, architects, suppliers and the internal team to ensure each project is handled with care, accuracy and professionalism.
Key Focus Areas
Client Selections & Experience
- Run end-to-end client selections and showroom appointments.
- Guide clients through bathroomware, kitchen, laundry and homeware product options.
- Provide considered product advice based on project needs, style, budget and timelines.
- Create a premium showroom experience that reflects The Source brand.
- Support clients from initial consultation through to final selection and sign-off.
- Build trust through strong communication, attention to detail and follow-through.
Relationship & Trade Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, designers, architects and trade partners.
- Act as a trusted point of contact throughout the selections process.
- Communicate clearly with trade partners to ensure project requirements, timelines and expectations are understood.
- Represent The Source with professionalism, warmth and product expertise.
- Contribute to long-term relationships by delivering a consistently high standard of service.
Quoting & Project Administration
- Prepare accurate quotes, estimates and supporting documentation.
- Keep client and project information up to date across internal systems.
- Follow up on selections, pricing, product availability and project details.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal team members to ensure information is accurate and timely.
- Manage multiple clients, selections and project priorities without losing attention to detail.
- Support smooth handover and follow-through from consultation to completion.
Product Knowledge & Showroom Standards
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge across The Source’s product range.
- Stay across new products, finishes, suppliers and relevant industry trends.
- Ensure product recommendations are practical, considered and aligned to client needs.
- Contribute positively to the showroom environment and client experience.
- Bring energy, professionalism and care to every interaction.
About You
You are a confident, client-focused Selections Consultant, showroom specialist or sales professional with experience across bathroomware, plumbing, construction products, interiors, design or a related trade product environment.
You enjoy working with people, understand the importance of detail and take pride in creating a premium client experience. You are commercially aware, relationship-driven and comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities at once.
You bring:
- Experience in bathroomware, plumbing, interiors, construction products or a related trade environment
- Strong client-facing sales or consultative customer experience capability
- Confidence guiding clients through product selections and project decisions
- Strong attention to detail across quoting, documentation and follow-up
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work with builders, designers, architects, clients and suppliers
- A genuine interest in product, interiors, design and the residential construction process
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence using technology, CRM, quoting or project management systems
- A proactive, collaborative and positive approach
- Experience in selections, showroom consulting, bathroomware, plumbing supplies, building products, interior design, homewares or residential construction will be highly regarded.
