About the Role
The Senior Technical Lead & Manager is a critical leadership position at PixelForce. This role combines hands-on technical depth with strategic leadership, serving as the CTO’s primary partner in driving AI-powered engineering transformation. You will lead a team of Technical Leads and Cloud DevOps Engineers, embedding AI-first practices across the engineering function to improve development speed, delivery quality, and scalability.

You’ll provide high-level technical direction across 10–15 concurrent projects, champion smart engineering practices, and ensure infrastructure is secure, reliable, and cost-optimised. Beyond technical leadership, you’ll play a pivotal role in building capability across the team, mentoring, coaching, and embedding AI-powered approaches that keep PixelForce at the cutting edge.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Engineering Leadership: Champion the adoption of AI tools and practices that improve coding, testing, debugging, and project delivery outcomes.
• Strategic Technical Leadership: Provide high-level technical direction across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and quality.
• Infrastructure & Architecture: Design, implement, and oversee modern cloud-based solutions with AI-driven optimisation for speed, cost, and performance.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing technical team, embedding AI-first skills, fostering innovation, and driving professional growth.
• Project Excellence: Ensure superior technical outcomes, leveraging AI-enabled tools to accelerate development, resolve complex issues, and maintain world-class standards.
• Partnership with the CTO: Translate strategic goals into execution, ensuring that AI enablement and smart engineering practices are deeply embedded across PixelForce.

About You
You are a senior technical leader with a strong track record in software engineering, solutions architecture, and AI-powered innovation. With 10+ years of development experience (including deep expertise in Ruby on Rails) and at least 5 years in senior technical leadership roles, you bring the ability to scale systems, lead teams, and deliver outstanding results in high-growth environments.

• You’re a technical authority, with expertise across Ruby on Rails, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), DevOps, and modern infrastructure.
