About the Role

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision-making within a fast-paced, high-growth eCommerce retail environment. This role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, conducting performance analysis, and developing financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.

Partnering with teams across Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations, you’ll provide data-driven insights on sales performance, digital marketing ROI, customer acquisition costs, and inventory efficiency. You’ll also maintain and enhance internal reporting tools, automate processes, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate financial analysis and reporting, ensuring compliance and audit readiness
  Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles, identifying trends and variances
• Build and maintain financial models to assess business performance and opportunities
• Analyse monthly results, prepare variance analysis, and present reports and dashboards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial insights with business goals
• Automate and streamline reporting processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with external audits and implement corrective actions as needed
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of BAS, PAYG, GST, FBT, and Payroll Tax

About You

You’re a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You have a commercial mindset, a love for problem-solving, and the ability to turn complex data into meaningful stories that influence decision-making.

You’ll bring:

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, and data visualisation (Power BI experience highly regarded)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Commerce, plus CA/CPA qualification
• Solid experience in commercial or financial analysis, ideally within retail or eCommerce
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage shifting priorities

As part of this journey, our client will be exploring the appointment of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to strengthen and scale their operational foundation.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO will play a critical role in shaping the operational backbone of a fast-growing, values-led, direct-to-consumer brand with an expanding global footprint.

This role will partner closely with Product, Marketing, Brand and Operations teams to drive business efficiency, scalability and execution. It is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategic oversight with practical operational delivery.

Operational Excellence

• Lead business operations across ecommerce,  customer experience, people and culture, data, legal and compliance and international expansion.
• Drive improvements in forecasting, budgeting, cash flow and resource allocation
• Build scalable systems and processes to support ongoing growth

Strategy & Execution

• Translate high-level strategy into executable operational plans and manage the operating cadence
• Implement best-practice frameworks for international expansion and operational scale
• Support the executive team with data-driven insights and decision-making

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with Product, Marketing and Brand leaders to align execution with commercial goals
• Build strong operating rhythms across teams and functions
• Foster a high-performance, accountable culture

Commercial & Financial Performance

• Drive profitability through disciplined cost management and growth initiatives
• Oversee reporting, KPIs and performance tracking

About You

You are an experienced operational leader with a background in high-growth, consumer-led or e-commerce environments.
