About the Role:
This newly created role is based remotely, with a preference for candidates based in Queensland. The role reports directly to the Head of Sales - ANZ and is ideal for a driven and strategic business development professional. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding MEQ's footprint within the red meat industry. This position focuses on identifying and securing new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and developing relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

As a self-driven individual contributor, you will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals. Additionally, you will be involved in developing tailored sales strategies and supporting the sales team with strategic insights to position MEQ's cutting-edge products in the market. You will also play a key role in nurturing long-term client relationships to ensure continued satisfaction and growth.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Identifying and engaging potential clients, generating leads, and driving new business opportunities.
• Conducting market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
• Presenting MEQ's products and services to prospective clients, effectively communicating the value proposition.
• Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

About You:

• 2+ years of proven success in business development, preferably within a startup or scale-up environment.

• A results-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with various stakeholders and negotiate effectively.
• Confident in analysing data to identify key insights and effectively distilling key information to present to clients
• Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) for lead management and tracking sales performance.

In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to oversee the customer support team, streamline operations, and ensure seamless experiences for all users. You’ll play a critical role in building efficient processes, driving team performance, and delivering exceptional service aligned with the business’s mission to transform lives through fitness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small, high-performing customer support team, including offshore staff.

• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for onboarding and customer interactions.
